What is Mediation?
Mediation opens communication channels and allows parties to come to an agreement that would not otherwise have been possible through litigation.
During Mediation the parties are in control of the outcome and decisions and this is a more positive way to handle divorce and family disputes as you need to restore and keep a healthy relationship with the other party involved. This needs to continue after the dispute has been resolved.

Mediation is an empowering process where all parties involved takes back the control into their own hands to come to a workable and reasonable agreement which is suitable and acceptable to both parties. This is done in an environment which is safe and filled with less anxiety and fear.

Divorce Mediation

In general, the primary factors the court will consider are how much each parent earns and how much time each parent spends with the children. Other factors can come into play, too, including whether either parent has the ability to earn more, whether the child has special needs, and which parent pays for child care and health insurance. Support can last until the child is 18 or even longer, depending on where the parents and child live and on the child’s needs.
